NEED TO CHANGE PERCEPTION OVER FIELD OF STUDY



It is every ones desire to have a profession in efforts of undergoing through different Education levels. It is plight and delights when you join campus and also succeed at the end of course.
It could be mean if experience and memories are not shared with friends and beloved ones because it is sweet memories to many that go unnoticed and worthy telling your comrades.

Higher Institution of learning have never been dinning places as you majority think except those going to brag around because they feel they like to be talked about at the institution every now and then. However, much of these people’s presence and actions is alarming and disastrous.
In an effort to rediscover a social binding profession, The World Eye encounters Mr.Mwambu Joseph, a professional broadcaster at IUIU FM in an exclusive Interview on Facebook and Whatsapp tells us the significance of Mass communication course and how it’s perceived by the public in the contemporary Uganda.
He is a calm slow paced persona in articulation when on interview, and with confidence in expression as one can notice a sign of leadership in him.
Mwambu Joseph is his real name and a borne of Mbale town .He is a down to earth persona who loves what he does when it comes to radio journalism. Having gone through a three years course at Islam University In Uganda, Joseph believes in himself with all he feels he has attained from the Mass communication department at IUIU.
He cites out that the public mistake the Mass communication course as a more of celebrity window traffic where any person in love to wasting time can take refugee.
“Mass communication is wide as it involves print…that is to say writing for Newspapers, Broadcast Journalism which involves Radio and Television Broadcast.”
“It depends on what you desire to specialize but other Institutions do not limit the field specialties, for instance where I pursued my Bachelor in Mass communication…..we were nurtured to do all specialties but still out of the three aspects ,am so active in Radio Broadcast.” He narrates
He adds that Communication course is like any other course, calls for seriousness, activeness and enthusiasm to attain good grades at University and acquiring the skills passed on unlike the public perception that “it’s the leisure and freedom course
This is the only course that shapes the public perception and bridges the Information gap between the professional communicators and the audience.
“Mass communication makes you informed every time and its onus upon a communicator to make thorough research for what you are to write or present on air” he notes
With his love for a microphone, Mwambu is a man who treats his audience nicely with figurative lumasaba language program at 93.1 IUIU FM. He started serious work after having been retained at the giant university Radio station ever since he joined University as a student.
” I have not lagged behind when chance for showing my talent in the profession availed and now am advancing my skills in the field of broadcasting.” He says
He feels pleasure for serving the community as this has helped him gain confidence and motivated him to work hard to fulfill his dream in the Broadcast career.
“Am so happy for my profession and am contented with it ….I love my audience as it makes me elevate my status  and I admire late Bbale Francis – UBC News Anchor and late Komla Dumor –Ghanaian BBC presenter” He recount
Being one of the lucky individuals in the Broadcast industry, he appeals to fellow youth in all fields to get determined, focused on their strategies and use opportunities that comes their way.
“We need to utilize the resourceful individuals around us so that we add value to ourselves and the society.” He adds
