Why Students shun holidays

The earlier days could woe the students to rush in villages for holidays but the trend is taking a new dimension and nowadays experiencing a situation where children are staying with their parents shunning a way holidays.
In an investigation carried out by the “THE WORLD EYE”, reveals that the 80% of children are no longer going for holidays.
The investigation carried in Eastern Uganda especially in urban areas of the districts namely Jinja,Iganga ,Mbale ,Kamuli among others, reveal that children right from primary and secondary schools shun away going for holidays than the earlier days of their parents’ childhood .
According to Naiga Asha  a mother of four children in Jinja Wanyange attributes this to poor home government at places where students  go for holidays.
“It is better for a parent to raise and groom the children with them other than sending them in the hands of other people because they may easily get spoilt “she says
She cites out the nutrition hazards as a result of food deficiency in places of holidays especially in country side, adding that mostly in Villages parents and guardians are ignorant about balance diet.
“There are very many cases of malnutrition faced by children when they go for holidays, caretakers do not mind giving them recommended meals instead they feed them with one kind of food, and also occupying them with heavy work”, adding that “It is ironic for villages to supply the towns with first class desired nutritious foods and leave themselves with peanuts.”
The tight and harsh laws at the holiday homes that holiday makers go for holidays have been number on e threat to scare students to spend their free book time.
“Certain homes have intolerable laws and systems that keep students fixed with work making no difference with Jack saying of becoming a dull boy. We need to refresh our minds and the only platform to attain is holidays” Jane Nakyejo a student recommends
She further adds that the students have bias for two home governments that are to keep and drive students in their holidays.
“Concentration is attained through a one unique system that truly will shape and modify us” she says.
The situation has resulted into elders coining a new phenomenal commonly known “Ebisakati” meaning indoor and fenced buildings where parents assume their children are nurtured in decent moral. Though this has been heavily criticized for being a failure to bring out the natural ego of a person due to their foundations based on a times different cultural values of students, it has attained 45% rating as compared to home holidays.
They have also got a reason to laugh embracing what they have at hand in this generation. They have on several occasions referred to the term Dot-com-era.
Joseph Kidanda feels that the Internet generation does not require a child moving to another place for holiday to learn new concepts yet internet can be the source of information at this digital age.
However the students’ attitudes get negative and resistant for holidays yet holidays have been so special from time immemorial and can not go un recognized in this special report.
Hajj Abdul reveal that children taking holidays outside their homes is the best moment a child can enjoy having a story to tell while in his or her adulthood.
It should be also be noted that holidays were purposely for learning new moral, making friends, acquiring new skills.
“If an elder saw immorality championed by children at home, they had to utilize the holidays country side for their children to reform” Mr Abdul recount
