KYAMBOGO UNIVERSITY CANCELS GUILD ELECTIONS

The recent hotly contested guild elections at Kyambogo University have been called off and the date for re-election shall be communicated.
This has been reached at today by the Electoral commission and University governing body.

In an exclusive interview with some of electorates told our reporter that they entire electoral system had been corrupted and the system was favoring one candidate with results of only one candidate in the names of Ashaba leaving out his opponent whom many claim to have voted for Ochen .
Meanwhile the entire student’s fraternity had threatened to carry out violent protests in case if the electronic electoral system and officials come up and make official statements in regard to the situation which only displays only one candidate.
However, students say that they will not take part in the elections unless there are reforms made and some candidates withdrawn from the race.
