By Isaac Waniala
The recent hotly contested guild elections at Kyambogo University have been called off and the date for re-election shall be communicated.
This has been reached at today by the Electoral commission and University governing body.
In an exclusive interview with some
of electorates told our reporter that they entire electoral system had been
corrupted and the system was favoring one candidate with results of only one
candidate in the names of Ashaba leaving out his opponent whom many claim to
have voted for Ochen .
Meanwhile the entire student’s fraternity
had threatened to carry out violent protests in case if the electronic
electoral system and officials come up and make official statements in regard
to the situation which only displays only one candidate.
However, students say that they will
not take part in the elections unless there are reforms made and some candidates
withdrawn from the race.
