KCCA authority announces dates for the city festival for 2018

The annual city festival has been launched today the 30th of May with the Kampala city authority scheduling dates for the official celebrations and performances of the City carnival. The event will be held from 05th to 07th of October and shall be the 7th edition since its initial launch. v The 2018 07th Edition Kampala City Festival has been launched with several sponsors coming on including NBS TV, Movit Uganda, Bell a breweries company VIVO energy among others promising mega changes in the operations and strictly grooming and promoting and celebrating local talents. The Kampala City council director (KCCA) one Jeneifer Musisi made an official announcement and statement this morning while addressing the media and launching the East Africa’s biggest annual festivals. The authority is yet to host several entertainment icons all over Africa and with major concentration in East Africa. Many artists are said to set to grace over the ceremony come October with most of whom not confirmed yet though the concerned authorities promised to give a detailed list of performers once agreement is reached at.

Kasiano Wadri’s son narrates eye witness account

Arua municipality contestant Kasiano Wadri’s son, Saddam Buni has narrated on his Facebook page, the events that occurred last evening in Arua. Buni, a former Kyambogo university guild president stated that according to an eye witness, whose name has been withheld, there were no clashes leading to the shooting. “It’s not true there were any fighting. I have been sleeping at Pacific Hotel. When I went, everything was calm.  As I sat at the reception after arrival,  three boys arrived and told us Wadri’s supporter was shot”, he stated. According to the eye witness , he advised Hon. Zaake and Hon. Kyagulanyi Sentamu to go upstairs to their rooms and they obliged. The source further alleged that there was no fighting but shortly afterwards, the place was surrounded by security operatives while the dead body as in the car.  Eddy Kenzo shared his HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus) results with the public to counter various reports from tabloids and bloggers who have been claiming that his recent bedridden state is because his HIV positive. Ofwono Opondo’s daughter graduates in Poland

Government mouthpiece, Ofwono Opondo is a smart man. While he was debating in TV talk shows about standards of Ugandan universities, the NRM diehard, li Ofwono’s daughter has graduated in Polish university,  Vistula . The proud father attended the 2017/18 graduation ceremony, this time not in Karamoja regalia but rather a black suit and yellow tie. According to online sources, in Poland, higher education is free for Polish students.  International students are required to pay tuition fees, which are typically in the range of US$2,300 (about Shs8.3m) -4,530 (Shs17m) per year at public universities. This actually makes Poland one of the cheapest places for international students. However, Vistula is a private university, nevertheless, it’s the only! Empowered with knowledge and skills, there is no doubt Mr. O.O’s daughter will be of great value to Uganda! Congratulations!
