University Of Zambia To Train Students In Witchcraft, First Intake Of 20 “Witches” Accepted

A degree program  to safeguard Intangible Zambian heritage has reportedly been developed by the University of Zambia, following the grant of $340,000 from UNESCO . Kayihura Lawyers cry out, we have been denied acces to our client

Former Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura was reportedly detained at Makindye military barracks  last week. According to his  lawyers; Caleb Alaka and Evans Ochieng, they have been denied access to their client for the past three days. “We tried on Friday; they said it was a public holiday. They said we come on Saturday, yesterday, we came and they again refused. They refused and that is the truth. Yes, they refused and the whole of yesterday, we had no access to them at all. Those people are still detained illegally and I think it is very wrong, “  said Alaka. Alaka further states that no one should be detained for more than 48 hours without being produced in court to show cause for his/her arrest. TWO BOMBS DISCOVERED IN A BUILDING IN KAMPALA

 Police In Kampala have this morning closed a building found on plot 66 Kampala road next to Fidodido after discovering two bombs wrapped i n polythene bag. According to Luke Oweyisigyire the Kampala metropolitan police spokesperson the police bomb squad has responded very fast and has taken the two suspected bomb away for proper disposal. Oweyisigyire noted that the same building last month was found with 3 three suspected stick bombs He adds the building is closed until further notice to give police time to do more search and make sure the building is safe to be used again. Police call upon the public to remain calm and also to be on the look out for any suspicious items.

Kenyan doctors are seeking to block the government’s plan to deploy 100 Cuban doctors to fill gaps in the country’s health care system. A group of unemployed doctors filed a lawsuit against the move, arguing that as citizens, they should have been hired first. But the Kenyan government has defied a court order blocking it from hiring the Cubans. Despite opposition from Kenyan doctors and sections of the public, Kenyan health officials are going forward with a plan to use Cuban doctors in the country’s public health care facilities starting next month. In doing so, the government also is defying a court order suspending the employment of some 100 doctors who arrived in the country last week. A petition was filed by four Kenyan doctors. Security chiefs, Museveni meet over Kayihura; sources say he could face court martial

Big wigs in the Ugandan security have met this afternoon following the ‘arrest’ of former Inspector General of Police, Gen Kale Kayihura. The meeting that happened at the army headquarters in Mbuya on Wednesday afternoon was attended by the Chief of Defence Forces, Maj Gen David Muhoozi, the spokesperson Brig Richard Karemire and other top brass. Sources confirm to Nile Post that President Museveni was part of the meeting by conference call.  Minutes of the meeting were then delivered to the fountain of honour at Nakasero State House. Another source confirms that Museveni has Okayed resolutions from the meeting among which include trial at the General Court Martial. Wadri was speaking during the last funeral ceremony for Abiriga and his bodyguard brother Saidi Butele Buga, at the deceased’s’ ancestral home in Rhino camp, lower Madi county in Arua district. Wadri said that to honour Abiriga, all roads within the municipality need to be tarmacked while the one in Rhino camp should be named after the former Arua Resident District Commissioner (RDC) and legislator.
