Stella Nyanzi to contest for Kampala Woman MP seat



 Feminist, human rights activist, and academic Stella Nyanzi is set to run for the Kampala Woman Member of Parliament. The intentions known just after political activist Frank Gashumba announced that he will join the race for Kampala Mayor.

Very soon, the entire parliament might be filled with celebrities from other spheres away from politics. Just as Frank Gashumba is aiming for Erias Lukwago’s seat to become the mayor of Kampala in the coming elections, Stella Nyanzi has picked up the pace and expressed her intentions of replacing Nabilah Naggayi Sempala as Kampala Woman MP.

The Uganda parliament is already star studded with celebrities like Bobi Wine, Kato Lubwama, Judith Babirye among others. Their major strengths has been attributed to their influence in the social spheres especially in the entertainment industry where they gained a huge following.

It should for the above said factors that Stella Nyanzi is choosing to go head-to-head with Nabilah Naggayi Sempala in the coming elections. We shall keep you posted on the matter.
