Ugandan homemade aircraft crash-lands, Pilot and innovator Joseph Nkaheza admitted
Ugandan innovator from Mwizi in Mbarara district, Joseph Nkaheza, 30 was
on Monday evening admitted at Ruti Clinic after his home-made chopper
crash-landed in Mbarara.
Nkaheza, a primary seven dropout was reportedly testing the ‘plane’ to see if it can fly well, However, just 5km on the side of the road along Mbarara-Kabale road, when it came tumbling. The aircraft had climbed 16 feet when Nkaheza failed to take full control of it. Nkaheza who was alone in the plane, sustained injuries on his head

This is the second time Nkaheza is being involved in a chopper accident.
“I broke both hands when I attempted to land. I had flown the plane for about 10 minutes. But it failed to land. I did not know what to do. I just switched off the engine and it came tumbling,” he told Daily Monitor last year.
At only 17 years, Nkaheza was already out of school and without parents to push him through the trials of life; he had to think of an option.
