Veteran musician Geoffrey Oryema dies in France


 

ugandan veteran musician Geoffrey Oryema died in Paris, France yesterday. Aged 65, Goeffrey has been living in Paris for a while and he is largely known for his song ‘Land Of Anaka’ which made him famous in 1991.


The sad news broke by another celebrated musician and close friend, Joel Sebunjo, indicated that Geoffrey Oryema died on Friday evening with the actual cause of his death still unknown. Joel also indicated that they had plans of recording music together in Lyon in September and his gratitude to the late singer for his exceptional work.
